Your Local Salisbury Child Care and Early Learning Centre

Our Highway Child Care and Early Learning Centre is located at 267 Salisbury Highway, Salisbury Downs 5108.
We view each child as a citizen of our community and understand that they are competent and capable beings with inherent rights from the moment of their birth.
Research tells us that children learn well when they are in a relaxed, safe trusting environment where they feel valued and they belong, acknowledged as a citizen of that community: We believe this to be the basis of success in our responsive learning environment.
We want you and your child to feel welcomed and part of a wonderful community from the moment you step through our door. We will ensure continuity of care, and work to support parents through our primary care groups. That said we are unique in having one of the longest standing beautiful, natural gardens for learning in Adelaide. Our children spend most of their learning time outside, exploring the many possibilities of nature. Everyone is connected in the garden. We learn about Aboriginal culture and connection to land, we learn about nature, it’s beauty and cycles; we play games that grow and grow and grow with our imaginations; we learn songs and dances, stories and plays.

The children were delighted to see the dolls and picnic set up as they woke and came out to play.

They sat down immediately and enjoyed an imaginary picnic with Lisa and Madelyn.

Last week we made some orange juice. We watched as Lauren cut the oranges into halves, then put our orange on top of the squeezer and turned the orange backwards and forwards. We squeezed the oranges as tight as we could and and watched as the juice dribbled into the squeezer. We added some water and at the end we had freshly squeezed orange juice made by us. Yummy!!! ...
